Winter Weather Advisory now in effect
A Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 3:24 PM EST on January 15, 2016
A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 3 am to 6 PM EST
Saturday.
The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Weather
Advisory which is in effect from 3 am to 6 PM EST Saturday. The
Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
* Hazard types... a mixture of snow... sleet and freezing rain.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches... along with
around a trace of ice.
* Timing... snow will develop late tonight and continue through
Saturday mixing with or changing to sleet and freezing rain at
times.
* Impacts... reduced visibilities and dangerous driving conditions.
* Winds... north 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
* Temperatures... in the mid 20s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
