through late tonight.

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of western Maine and New Hampshire... including the

 following areas... in western Maine... Androscoggin... interior

 Cumberland... interior Waldo... Kennebec... southern Franklin...

 southern Oxford and southern Somerset. In New Hampshire...

 Belknap... Merrimack... northern Carroll... southern Carroll...

 southern Grafton and Sullivan.

* From 1 PM EST this afternoon through late tonight

* the combination of heavy rainfall and snow melt may push some

rivers and streams to bankfull.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on

current forecasts.

 

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible

flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be

prepared to take action should flooding develop.

 

 

Wind Advisory statement as of 3:15 am EST on January 10, 2016

Wind Advisory in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 8 PM EST

this evening.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Wind Advisory.

which is in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 8 PM EST this

evening.

* Winds... southeast 20 to 30mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Timing... this afternoon into this evening.

* Impacts... winds may down tree limbs onto wires leading to some

power outages.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 35 mph... or wind

gusts up to 57 mph... are expected. Winds this strong can make

driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use

extra caution.
