digging out of another snowstorm

Good morning Augusta.

The storm is over.

This morning it is partly cloudy with Fog early. High of 28F with a windchill as low as 3F. Breezy. Winds from the West at 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight it will be clear, then partly cloudy. Low of -8F. Winds from the NW at 5 to 10 mph.

The readings from my own instruments are:

The humidity is 87% with a Dew Point of 17ºF and a wind chill of 21.8ºF.

The temperature Is 21.8 ºF.

The NWS shows low winds of about 3 mph out of the North. I cannot get a wind reading because my wind instrumentation remains encased in ice.

Our Barometric pressure is 30.01  HPA 1056 and rising with a weather graphic indicating sun.

We have a UV rating of 0 out of 16, sunset will be at 4:08 PM with Moon Rise at 4:59 a.m. EST and the moon phase is a Waning crescent.

For the pilots out there, Raw Metar readings are:

METAR KAUG 301253Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM FEW028 OVC043 M07/M08 A2965 RMK AO2 UPE52 SLP047 P0000 T10671078 $

Visibility is 10.0 miles/16.1 Kilometers with  some clouds to 2,800 ft / 853 m., and overcast down to 4,300 ft / 1,310 m.

We received roughly 10 inches of snow in last night's storm.

Folks, there is ice under that snow – Driving and walking needs to be done with great care.
