Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 am EST Friday.
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow remains in effect until 4 am EST
Friday.
* Locations... interior New Hampshire and western Maine.
* Hazard types... heavy snow.
* Accumulations... 12 to 18 inches of snow with locally higher amounts.
* Timing... through this evening.
* Impacts... heavy snow with gusty winds and low visibilities.
Poor driving conditions are expected and power outages are
possible.
* Winds... northeast 15 to 30 mph. Gusts up to 50 mph in coastal
areas.
* Temperatures... in the mid 20s to lower 30s.
* Visibilities... one half mile or less.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food...
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
