For the pilots out there: Raw METAR is –

METAR KAUG 211253Z AUTO 09006KT 4SM -SN BR OVC005 00/M01 A2982 RMK AO2 UPB1158E05SNE1158B05 SLP103 P0003 T00001006

Visibility is 4.0 miles/6.4 Kilometers with light snow and overcast to 500 ft / 152 meters.

We have percipitation in this area overnight and it is still raining and snowing out there, but my rain gauge is filled with snow  making it impossible to provide you with an accurate reading– but so far precip amounts in the form of snow is just over one inch. For the rest of it, we'll just have to wait and see how bad it gets out there.

By the way, today is Dec. 21, so sorry folks, the world didn't end, the Mayans were wrong, and the republicans and democrats continue to do little or nothing in Washington while getting paid to do it. See? Everything is right back to normal around here.
