...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTH CENTRAL KENNEBEC...
NORTHWESTERN KNOX AND CENTRAL LINCOLN COUNTIES...
At 602 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 8 miles north of
Wiscasset, moving east at 30 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.
Locations impacted include...
Gardiner, Damariscotta, Wiscasset, Bremen, Thomaston, Jefferson,
Dresden, Hope, Cushing, Appleton, Friendship, Alna, Nobleboro,
Whitefield, Newcastle, Washington, Union, Waldoboro, Pittston and
Richmond.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
