A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHERN KENNEBEC...NORTHWESTERN
WALDO...SOUTHEASTERN SOMERSET AND SOUTHEASTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES...
At 5:03 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 8 miles southwest of
Norridgewock, or 10 miles east of Farmington, moving east at 60 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.
Locations impacted include...
Farmington, Fairfield, Skowhegan, Pittsfield, Oakland, Madison,
Clinton, Belgrade, Norridgewock, Benton, Anson, Canaan, Hartland,
Chesterville, Cornville, Burnham, Athens, Harmony, Detroit and
Palmyra.
This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 137 and 156.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
