A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN KENNEBEC...SOUTHEASTERN OXFORD...ANDROSCOGGIN...EASTERN CUMBERLAND...

NORTHWESTERN SAGADAHOC AND SOUTH CENTRAL FRANKLIN COUNTIES...

At 11:38 AM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located

along a line extending from near Mechanic Falls to near Falmouth to

near Kennebunkport. Movement was east at 15 mph.

Half inch hail is possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...

Portland, Lewiston, Brunswick, Mechanic Falls, Topsham, Turner,

Rumford, Cumberland, Falmouth, Freeport, Gray, Jay, Litchfield,

Livermore Falls, Dixfield, Canton, Wilton, Yarmouth, Mexico and

Winthrop.

This includes the following highways...

Interstate 295 between mile markers 10 and 36.

Interstate 95 between mile markers 66 and 92.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may

cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.
