#MEwx Cooler, sunny and a Black Forest Parfait

This morning we have mostly cloudy  skies with a slight chance of showers, then partly sunny this afternoon. Highs will be in the the mid 70s. Winds will be northeast around 10 mph.

Tonight we'll have mostly clear conditions with lows in the mid 50s. Winds will be light and variable.

It's too darn hot to bake anything. Make one of these instead.    

Black Forest Parfait

one can cherry pie filling

1/4 cup black cherry preserves

1/4 cup sugar

1 tblsp lemon juice

3 oz 1/3-less-fat cream cheese

3.4 cup chocolate wafer crumbs

Combine pie filling and preserves, mixing until thoroughly blended.

Combine sugar, juice, and cheese in large mixing bowl, and beat at medium

speed until smooth.

Cover and chill.

Spoon 2 tsp. crumbs into each of 4 glasses; top each with 1 1/2 tblsp cream

cheese mixture and 3 tblsp cherry mixture.

Repeat layers once, ending with cherry mixture.  Serve immediately.
