Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 3:09 am EST on December 27, 2015

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight EST

tonight.

* hazard types... freezing rain... sleet... and snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of up to 1 inch... along with

 around a trace of ice.

* Timing... a wintry mix of snow... sleet... and freezing rain will

continue through today. Freezing rain is expected to be confined

mainly to higher elevations. Precipitations gradually tapers off

late this afternoon... and may end as snow showers this evening.

* Impacts... a wintry mix of precipitation on area roads will

 make for difficult travel.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... around 30.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or

freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for

slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

driving.
