Statement as of 1:13 PM EST on December 27, 2015

Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 8 PM EST this

evening.

* hazard types... freezing rain... sleet... and snow.

* Accumulations... total snow accumulation of 4-8 inches is

expected.

* Timing... snow will continue this afternoon and will gradually

taper off this evening... and may end as snow showers tonight.

* Impacts... snow covered roads will make for difficult travel.

* Winds... north 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... in the lower 30s.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or

freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for

slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

driving.
