Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 3:18 PM EST on December 29, 2015

Winter Weather Advisory in effect until midnight EST tonight.

The winter Storm Warning is cancelled.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow sleet and freezing rain which is in effect until midnight EST tonight.

The Winter Storm Warning has been cancelled.

* Hazard types... snow... sleet... and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches... along

 with around a trace of ice.

* Timing... mixed sleet and snow will wind down later tonight and

could change to period of freezing rain or drizzle before ending

during the pre-dawn.

* Impacts... the wintry mix will create hazardous travel conditions

into tonight.

* Winds... northeast 5 to 10 mph.

* Temperatures... 15 to 20.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or

freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for

slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

driving.
