Overcast and winter-mild

Good Morning Augusta.

This morning it is mostly cloudy with numerous snow showers this morning then partly sunny this afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation. Highs around 30, winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent.

Tonight it will be partly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly cloudy. Colder with lows around 9 above. West winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

The readings outside right now, taken from my own instrumentation  are:

a relative humidity of 78% with a Dew Point of 20.8ºF.

The temperature is 27.0ºF with a wind chill of 23.1ºF.

The wind velocity right now is between 4.7 mph and 8.3 mph out of the West Norththwest.

Our Barometric pressure is 29.88 and rising. The weather graphic indicates sun.

We had no measurable precipitation yesterday or last night.

Visibility is 10.0 miles with overcast down to 6,500 feet.

Here are some old weather sayings that may or may not be accurate. Why not read them through and see if they come true?

Fog in January makes a wet Spring.

February fog means a frost in May.

Thunder in February, freeze in May.

Ash Wednesday wind continues in Lent.

A cold May gives full barns

and empty churchyards.

Rain on Easter Sunday, it will rain the next 7 Sundays.
