Overcast and gloomy

Good Morning Augusta. Remember we are under a weather advisory today.

This morning it is cloudy. A slight chance of snow with patchy freezing drizzle this morning then a chance of freezing drizzle or rain or sleet or snow this afternoon. Highs in the mid 30s. Light and variable winds. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.

Tonight it is going to rain. Areas of fog. Not as cold with lows in the mid 30s. Light and variable winds. Chance of rain near 100 percent.

Its going to be a real crumby day folks, drive real careful out there.

The readings outside right now, taken from my own instrumentation  are:

a relative humidity of 75% with a Dew Point of 17.8ºF.

The temperature is 24.3ºF with almost no wind chill.

The wind velocity right now is between 1.6 mph and 3.1 mph out of the West Northwest.

Our Barometric pressure is 30.30 and falling. The weather graphic indicates rain.

The measurable precipitation over the past 24 hours was 2 additional inches on top of the ice.

Visibility is 10.0 miles with overcast down to 2,600 feet.

When you look at what is in today's forecast on top of what else is already on the road, driving is going to be a risky thing when you are not on one of the main roads. Be real careful today.
