CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER KRISPY BARS

1 cup sugar

1 cup white Karo syrup

1 cup peanut butter

6 cups Rice Krispies

Chocolate chips, butterscotch chips

  1.  
  2. Bring sugar and Karo to a boil.  Remove from heat.
  3. Add peanut butter, mix well, then add Rice Krispies.
  4. Grease 9"x13" pan.
  5. Turn mixture into prepared pan, and pat down to make an even layer.
  6. Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips (at least 12 oz., more is okay!).
  7. Spread onto Krispie mixture.
  8. When set, cut into squares.

 

 

*CONGO SQUARES

2 ⅔ cups sifted flour

2 ½ tsp. baking powder

½ tsp. salt

⅔ cup shortening

2 ¼ cups brown sugar

3 eggs

1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

1 12oz. pkg. chocolate chips

 

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In large baking pan, melt shortening.
  3. Stir in sugar and allow to cool slightly.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  5. Add dry ingredients, nuts, and chips.
  6. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Cool, cut into squares.
