Good morning Augusta.

There is a Flood Statement and Flood Warning pasted at the Bottom of this post. Read both of them and stay safe!

This morning we have partly sunny skies with much colder temps, highs only in the lower 20s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to 25 mph. Wind chill values as low as 2 below.

Tonight we’ll have partly cloudy conditions with lows around 11°F. Winds will be Southwest around 10 mph gusting to 25 mph. Wind chill values as low as 2 below.

We’ve received a total of 2.69 inches of rain here over the past 24 hours, and now it’s all frozen solid. Be careful out there will ya?

wind is West Northwest between  1.1 MPH and 2.0 MPH. We clocked a “peak gust” during the storm of 40 MPH.

The Relative pressure is 29.22, the Absolute pressure is 29.02 and rising with a weather graphic indicating clouds and sun.

The  outdoor temperature is 12.6°F, the dew point is 2.8°F, the wind chill is 12.6°F and we have 64% humidity.

Kennebec River at Hallowell affecting Sagadahoc and Kennebec Counties.
Kennebec River At North Sidney affecting Kennebec County.
The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Maine.

Kennebec River At Augusta affecting Kennebec County.
Kennebec River At Skowhegan affecting Somerset and Kennebec Counties.
For the Kennebec River...including Skowhegan, North Sidney, Augusta,
Hallowell...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TONIGHT...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Kennebec River at Hallowell.
* WHEN...Until late tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Parking lots along Front Street begin to
flood. Town dock begins to flood.
At 13.0 feet, Water enters the back side of buildings along Water
Street. Front Street becomes completely submerged. The parking lot
by town dock flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 5:12 AM EST Saturday the stage was 9.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river will oscillate around flood stage with a
maximum value of 11.9 feet late this afternoon.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
