This morning we have mostly cloudy skies with expected highs in the lower 30s. Winds will be light and variable.

Tonight we’ll have a chance for some  freezing rain with snow and rain during evening hours, then rain with snow likely after midnight. Snow accumulation around an inch. Ice accumulation around a trace. Lows will drop to around 30°F. Winds will be east 10 to 15 mph gusting to 40 mph after midnight.

We didn’t receive any rain or snow here over the past 24 hours.

HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM FRIDAY TO 2 AM EST SATURDAY.

* WHAT...Southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, west central, and western Maine. Portions of central, northern, and southern New Hampshire.

* WHEN...From 1 AM Friday to 2 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and

avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
