SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT.

An area of low pressure will travel north along the East Coast early next week before moving into the Gulf of Maine late Tuesday.

Significant snow accumulation is possible. In addition, gusty northeasterly winds may result in blowing and drifting snow at times.

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH

WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 or more inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, west central, and western Maine. Portions of northern New Hampshire.

* WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult due to low visibility and

snow covered roads. The hazardous conditions could impact the

Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes.
