SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATION MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT.

An area of low pressure will travel north along the East Coast tomorrow before moving into the Gulf of Maine late Tuesday.

Significant snow accumulation is likely. In addition, gusty northeasterly winds may result in blowing and drifting snow at times.

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM MONDAY TO 7 PM EST TUESDAY.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and western Maine.

Portions of central New Hampshire.

* WHEN...From 5 PM Monday to 7 PM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult due to low visibility and snow covered roads. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
