An area of heavy snow showers will affect northwestern York... southern Oxford...central Androscoggin...northwestern Cumberland... northwestern Strafford...Belknap and southern Carroll Counties.

At 329 PM EST...An area of heavy snow showers was along a line

extending from 8 miles south of Rumford to near Conway to near

Ashland...and moving east AT 10 MPH.

Locations impacted include...

Lewiston, Laconia, Conway, Bridgton, Fryeburg, Mechanic Falls,

Moultonborough, Ossipee, Naples, Meredith, Turner, Gorham, Gray,

Alton, Barnstead, Hollis, Gilmanton, Hiram, Effingham and Cornish.

This includes the following highways...

Interstate 93 between mile markers 60 and 70.

Interstate 95 between mile markers 66 and 79.

This also includes...

Lake Winnipesaukee, Sebago Lake, Pleasant Mountain, Burnt Meadow

Mountains, and Long Lake.

* Visibilities may drop quickly to less than a half mile in this

area of heavy snow showers.

Icy roads are possible as the snow melts on the roads then quickly

refreezes.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be

prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra

time when traveling.
