The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Maine.

Presumpscot River At Westbrook affecting Cumberland County.

Kennebec River At Skowhegan affecting Somerset County.

Kennebec River At North Sidney affecting Kennebec County.

Kennebec River At Augusta affecting Kennebec County.

Kennebec River at Hallowell affecting Kennebec County.

Carrabassett River At North Anson affecting Somerset County.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in New

Hampshire and Maine.

Pemigewasset River At Plymouth affecting Grafton County.

Pemigewasset River At Woodstock affecting Grafton County.

Saco River At Conway affecting Carroll County.

Swift River At Roxbury affecting Oxford County.

Sandy River At Mercer affecting SomersetFranklin Counties.

Suncook River At North Chichester affecting Merrimack County.

Heavy rain will fall on a deep primed snowpack leading to the melt

increasing. Flows in rivers will increase quickly and reach critical

levels.

For the Pemigewasset River...including Woodstock, Plymouth...Minor

flooding is forecast.

For the Saco River...including Conway, West Buxton...Minor flooding

is forecast.

For the Presumpscot River...including Westbrook...Minor flooding is

forecast.

For the Swift River...including Roxbury...Minor flooding is forecast.

For the Kennebec River...including Bingham Wyman Dam, Skowhegan,

North Sidney, Augusta, Hallowell...Moderate flooding is forecast.

For the Carrabassett River...including North Anson...Minor flooding

is forecast.

For the Sandy River...including Mercer...Minor flooding is forecast.

For the Suncook River...including North Chichester...Minor flooding

is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive

cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.

...The Flood Warning is now in effect until late Sunday evening...

 

The Flood Warning continues for

the Kennebec River At Augusta.

* At 10:31 PM EST Friday the stage was 8.7 feet.

* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage just after

midnight tonight to 16.7 feet tomorrow afternoon. It will then

fall below flood stage Sunday afternoon to 9.2 feet and begin

rising again late Monday morning. It will rise to 9.7 feet early

Monday afternoon. It will then fall again and remain below flood

stage.

* Impact...At 12.0 feet, Water begins to flood parking lot on Front

Street in Augusta

* Impact...At 14.0 feet, Water 2 feet deep in parking lot on Front

Street in Augusta

* Impact...At 15.0 feet, Much of the parking lot on Front Steet in

Augusta is flooded

* Impact...At 17.0 feet, Water to the back of some buildings on

Water Street in Augusta
