* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

Northeastern Kennebec County in south central Maine...

Southeastern Somerset County in west central Maine...

* Until 300 PM EDT.

* At 216 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Norridgewock,

or near Skowhegan, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage

to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...

Fairfield, Skowhegan, Pittsfield, Madison, Clinton, Norridgewock,

Benton, Canaan, Smithfield, Winslow and Mercer.

This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 132 and 141, and

between mile markers 143 and 145.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
