Winter Storm Watch statement as of 3:18 am EST on January 23, 2017
Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late tonight through Tuesday evening.
* hazard types... snow... sleet... and freezing rain.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 5 to 8 inches... along
with around a tenth of an inch of ice.
* Timing... precipitation will begin Monday night and continue
into Tuesday.
* Impacts... significant amounts of wintry precipitation may lead
to slippery roads and hazardous travel conditions.
* Winds... northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* Temperatures... in the mid 20s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.

For Mariners:
Storm Warning statement as of 2:50 am EST on January 23, 2017
Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 PM this evening to 11 am EST Tuesday.
* winds... east 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 55 kt.
* Seas... 16 to 21 feet.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Storm Warning means winds of 48 to 63 knots are imminent or
occuring. Recreational boaters should remain in port... or take
shelter until winds and waves subside. Commercial vessels should
prepare for very strong winds and dangerous sea conditions... and
consider remaining in port or taking shelter in port until winds
and waves subside.
