* at 448 PM   EST... National Weather Service Doppler radar was 
tracking a   line of brief heavy snow squalls along a line extending 
from 6 miles   northwest of Carrabassett Valley to near 
Waterford...   moving to the northeast at 35 mph.
* These   squalls may dump a quick half inch of snow with winds 
gusting up to   30 mph for a 5 to 10 minute period as they move 
through.   Visibilities may drop to less than a quarter mile for a 
brief time.   Motorists are advised to be alert for rapily changing 
visibilties.
