Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from this evening through Sunday afternoon...
* locations... Kennebec... Waldo... Sagadahoc... Lincoln... and Knox
counties in Maine.
* Hazard types... the potential for significant snow.
* Accumulations... possible snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches.
* Timing... some light snow is expected to occur during the day
today. However... the main part of the event and the potential
for heavy snow is expected tonight into Sunday.
* Impacts... the potential for slippery roads and sharply reduced
visibilities in snow.
* Winds... northwest increasing to 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to
40 mph late tonight and on Sunday.
* Temperatures... in the 20s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
