Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 11 am Wednesday to 3 am EST Thursday.

* what... heavy snow expected. Travel will be very difficult to impossible, including during the evening commute on Wednesday. Total snow accumulations of 9 to 12 inches are expected.

* Where... western Maine except for York County.

* When... from 11 am Wednesday to 3 am EST Thursday.

* Additional details... heavy snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour will make for especially slippery driving conditions and may cause low visibility as well.
