Wednesdays weather

Good morning from the northwest end of Augusta, Maine. It is still raining here, and has been doing so on and off all night into this morning.

This morning's readings are:

a relative humidity of 91% with a Dew Point of 56.9ºF.

It is 59.4ºf outside.

And we have a mild and variable wind velocity gusting between 3.1 mph and 2.0 mph out of the North. The highest gust recorded in the past week is still 17.9 mph.

our Barometric pressure is 30.28 and rising

Our rainfall in the past 24 hours has been .06 in.

As in yesterday's posting, Lee's forces continue to drive North bringing more rain. We are not expecting a good break, meaning a high pressure system of some sort, until probably this Friday.

The predicted rainfall amounts between now and the end of the week vary, as do any wind velocity predictions. The bottom line is that Lee has invaded the North and is still causing damage.

Remember, the majority of Lee's forces are still far South of us. The bulk of Lee is moving very, very slowly up through the mid-atlantic states. What we're getting right now are only his advance forces.
