Thursday's local weather

Good morning from the northwest end of Augusta, Maine. It hasn't stopped raining up here yet, and isn't expected to do so until sometime tomorrow.

This morning's readings are:

a relative humidity of 95% with a Dew Point of55.4 ºF.

It is 56.9ºf outside.

And we have a mild and variable wind velocity gusting between 1.3 mph and2.0  mph out of the East. The highest gust recorded in the past week remains 17.9 mph.

our Barometric pressure is 30.07 and rising

Our rainfall in the past 24 hours has been 0.56 in. with a total for this week of 1.85 inches.

We simply are not expecting a break in this rain until probably tomorrow morning.

The predicted rainfall amounts remain up in the air, but the bottom line is we're all soaked to the bone, and its going to stay that way for the rest of today.

Remember, according to the hurricane senter, there are now two new tropical storms out in the Atlantic, and nobody knows where they are headed. After all, the National Hurricane center is run by the Federal Government, and we've all seen how they answer questions. Rememgber the recent Debt Ceiling debate?

That's our tax dollar at work.
