Friday, Sept. 2 local weather readings

Good morning from the northwest end of Augusta, Maine where it is starting out as a socked-in foggy day.

Right now we have a darn thick fog out there and it is supposed to burn off by around 10 this morning and the temperature is going to be in the low 80's with  steadily increasing humidity.

This morning's readings are::

a relative humidity of 90% and the dew point is 58.1º f.

It is 61.4º f outside.

a mild and variable wind velocity only gusting up to 1.3 MPH out of the north by east.

And our Barometric pressure is 30.10 and rising.

It might turn out to be a warm and muggy day, but its a lot better than another hurricane.

From a hand-written sign in an electrical supply house:

"In God we trust. Everyone else pays cash"

The author is Unknown, but it was probably the owner of the place.
