This morning we have rain likely with rain during afternoon hours. Patchy fog this afternoon with rain that may be heavy at times. Highs in the upper 50s with southeast winds 15 to 20 mph gusting to 30 mph, increasing to 40 mph this afternoon.

Tonight we'll have rain with isolated thunderstorms during evening hours, then mostly clear with a slight chance of showers after midnight. Patchy fog. Rain may be heavy at times in the evening. Visibility one quarter mile or less at times with lows in the mid 30s. South winds 15 to 20 mph gusting to 35 mph in the evening, becoming light and variable.

Holiday eggnog (This is supposed to be a recipe directly from George Washington's estate)

"One quart cream

one quart milk

one dozen tablespoons sugar

one pint brandy

½ pint rye whiskey

½ pint Jamaica rum

¼ pint sherry

mix liquor first, then separate yolks and whites of 12 eggs, add sugar to beaten yolks, mix well. Add milk and cream, slowly beating. Beat whites of eggs until stiff and fold slowly into mixture. Let set in cool place for several days. Taste frequently.

Do NOT operate any motor vehicles and keep away from open flames and underage children.
