The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...

Southeastern Kennebec County in south central Maine...

Western Knox County in south central Maine...

Lincoln County in south central Maine...

Sagadahoc County in south central Maine...

West Central Waldo County in south central Maine...

East Central Cumberland County in southwestern Maine...

* Until 1145 AM EDT.

* At 837 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated

heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly

in the advisory area. Between 4 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.

* Additional runoff will continue after the rainfall ends.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

Brunswick, Augusta, Bath, Gardiner, Damariscotta, Wiscasset,

Topsham, China, Litchfield, and Farmingdale.

Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the

area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
