#MEwx Flood watch now in effect
FLOOD WATCH ISSUED: 4:05 PM APR. 13, 2020 – NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.
The National Weather Service in Gray has expanded the
* Flood Watch to include a portion of south central Maine,
including the following area, Kennebec.
* Through Tuesday morning
* Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches combined with snowmelt may lead to
minor flooding on area rivers. Small streams may see rapid rises
by this evening.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
