We’ve received 1.69 inches of rain/snow melt here since yesterday.

Yesterday the Red Sox beat the Minnesota Twins in Spring training play 8-5.

Nice to be reporting baseball scores for a change, even if it’s only Spring Training, isn’t it?

SLOW COOKER TURKEY BREAST WITH WILD RICE STUFFING

8 servings (plus about 2 cups turkey and wild rice for another recipe)

4 cups cooked wild rice

¾ finely chopped onion

½ cup dried cranberries

1/3 slivered almonds

2 medium peeled or unpeeled cooking apples, coarsely chopped (2 cups)

4 to 5 lb boneless whole turkey, thawed if frozen

Mix all ingredients except turkey.  Place turkey in 3 ½ to 6 quart slow cooker.  Place wild rice mixture around edge of cooker.  Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 9 hours or until turkey is no long pink in center.
