#MEwx Wind Advisory Statement now in effect

Wind Advisory Statement as of 2:59 am EST on February 8, 2019

Wind Advisory in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 6 PM EST Saturday.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 6 PM EST Saturday.

* Winds... west 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Timing... winds will strengthen this afternoon and remain gusty through tonight and Saturday. The periods of strongest wind gusts are expected to be late this afternoon and again during the day on Saturday.

* Impacts... light outdoor objects may be thrown and downed tree branches are possible. Scattered power outages may occur.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph... or

wind gusts 46 to 57 mph... are expected. Winds this strong can

make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles.

Use extra caution.
