High wind "OZ"alert today

It has stopped raining in Augusta Maine. We are expecting temps to reach the low to mid 60's today with strong wids. In fact, parts of Maine are now under a gale warning, saying that winds will exceed 35 mph.

This morning's readings are:

a relative humidity of 76% with a Dew Point of 50.4ºF.

The temperature is 57.6ºF, with a wind chill of 56.0ºF  right now. This wind chill will not remain the same as the winds pick up today.

What little wind we have so far is between 4.7 mph and 11.2 mph out of the South Southwest. As noted above, today's wind is going to increase to velocities of roughly 40 mph.

Our Barometric pressure is 29.37 and rising.

The rainfall for yesterday was 1.02 inches and 2.01 for the week.

Since we have some pretty brisk winds on tap for today, you need to be prepared for any possible problem that may arise. You already know about making sure that there are no loose items in your yard that can be picked up by the winds and thrown into the side of your house or through your windows, secure empty trash cans and have enough fuel for generators in case the power goes out again.

In case you end up in a tornadic event of some sort, I add in the following so that you are prepared for every possible scenario.

Once you are in the land of OZ, you may need to know this. What are the guards for the Witch's castle chanting as they march through the changing of the guard?

First, many say that the chant is merely an audio "ink blot" and it means nothing at all. But then again there are those who swear they hear:

"O-E-O"

And:

"All we owe, we owe her"

And:

"Oh we loathe the old one"

And:

"Oh, we love, the old one"

Hey, Haloween is coming Loosen up.
