There is a winter Storm Warning in effect until 2 PM EDT Sunday.

Tonight-(Saturday)

Rain likely this evening. Snow. Snow may be heavy at times. Snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. Lows in the lower 30s. Northeast winds around 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph after midnight.

Chance of precipitation near 100 percent. 

For Sunday:

Snow in the morning...then a chance of rain in the afternoon. Snow may be heavy at times in the morning. Total snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches. Highs in the lower 40s. North winds 15 to 20 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

The readings outside right now are:

a relative humidity of 75% with a Dew Point of 28ºF.

The temperature is 36ºF, with a wind chill of  31ºF. 

The wind velocity is presently between 4.0 mph and 6.1 mph from variable directions. That will definitely change during the late evening hours and gust to between 15 and 30 mph, with heavy gusting up to 40 mph.

Visibility right now is roughly 9 miles with the ceilingat 2,900 feet and very overcast.

There is presently a mix of rain and snow falling, depending on where you are and what the local temperature is. It is going to intensify.

The bottom line is that it is lousey out there and getting worse. If you have not gotten everything you need for the storm, forget it and stay off the roads. Between the rain, snow and leaves mixed in on the roads it is just too darn dangerous.
