Chilly friday morning

Good morning from the northwest end of Augusta, Maine. We have a truly cold morning, with temps dropping below 32º this morning. Fortunately we have little or no wind. Today's temperatures are not expected to rise above the mid to upper 50's with low wind. Tonight temps won't get much below 40, and tomorrow is slated to be a gorgeous day.

This morning's readings are:

a relative humidity of 82% with a Dew Point of 35.2ºF.

The temperature is 40.5ºF. There is no wind chill with as little wind as we have so far this morning.

The wind velocity this morning is between 1.8 mph and 4.2 mph out of the west southwest. With our mild wind, we have a wind chill of 40.5ºF.

our Barometric pressure is 30.34 and rising.

There has been no rain in the past two days, with none expected today.

Last night the temperature fell below freezing for the first time this year in post-summer readings. At 5:46 a.m. the temp dropped below 32 ºF. Winter is coming a bit too fast for too many people.

If you didn't bring any sensitive plants indoors last night, you may have lost them.
