A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN KENNEBEC...WALDO AND SOUTHEASTERN SOMERSET COUNTIES.

At 618 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Winterport to near Clinton. Movement was southeast at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...

Waterville, Belfast, Fairfield, Bucksport, Searsport, Thorndike, Pittsfield, Skowhegan, Clinton, Castine, Verona Island, Winterport, Stockton Springs, Unity, Prospect, Norridgewock, Penobscot Township, Palermo, Knox and Benton.

This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 132 and 144.

This also includes...

Moose Point State Park.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
