Let’s have a really “bad for us” pizza for dinner tonight. Hey, school opens when again?

BACON CHEESEBURGER PIZZA

8 servings

1 loaf (1 lb) unsliced French bread

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped (½ cup)

1 jar (14 oz) pizza sauce (any variety)

1 large tomato, seeded and chopped (1 cup)

8 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled

2 cups finely shredded pizza cheese blended (mozzarella and Cheddar cheeses)

Heat oven to 400.  Cut bread load horizontally in half.  Cut bread halves crosswise in half to make 4 pieces (to fit on cookie sheet).  Arrange on large ungreased cookie sheet.  Cook beef and onion in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until beef is brown; drain.  Stir in pizza sauce.  Spread beef mixture over bread.   Sprinkle with tomato, bacon and cheese.  Bake about 15 minutes or until pizza is hot and cheese is melted.

*DOUBLE-CHEESE CHICKEN CAESAR PIZZA

8 servings

1 package (10 oz) ready-to-serve thin Italian pizza crust (12 inches in diameter)

¼ cup creamy Caesar dressing

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese ( 4 oz)

16-18 frozen fully cooked breaded mozzarella cheese nuggets (from 13 ½ oz package)

1 package frozen smoke-flavor fully cooked chicken breast strips

¼ cup sliced ripe olives

1 small red bell pepper, cut into thin strips

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 450.  Place pizza crust on ungreased cookie sheet.  Spread dressing evenly on pizza crust; sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.  Arrange cheese nugget, ends touching in circle 1 inch from edge of crust.  Arrange chicken, olives and bell pepper inside circle of cheese nuggets; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.  Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until nuggets are golden brown and edge of crust is deep golden brown.
