Wind Advisory in effect from 3 am to 2 PM EDT Thursday.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 3 am to 2 PM EDT Thursday.

* Winds... northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 46 mph.

* Timing... late tonight into Thursday morning.

* Impacts... scattered power outages are possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph... or

wind gusts 46 to 57 mph... are expected. Winds this strong can

make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles.

Use extra caution.

... A line of strong showers will affect Kennebec...

Knox... York... Waldo... southeastern Androscoggin... southeastern

Somerset... Lincoln... Cumberland... Sagadahoc... Rockingham... southern

Strafford and southeastern Hillsborough counties...

At 441 PM EDT, radar indicated strong showers were located along a

line extending from near Newport to near Fitchburg. Movement was

southeast at 35 mph. Wind gusts of around 35 mph or higher and

possibly a rumble of thunder can be expected with these showers.

Locations impacted include...

Nashua, Portland, Haverhill, Methuen, Lewiston, Derry, Rochester,

Dracut, South Portland, Auburn, Biddeford, Portsmouth, Brunswick,

Augusta, Westbrook, Waterville, Hampton, Exeter, Kittery and Bath.

This includes the following highways...

Interstate 293 near mile marker 1.

Interstate 295 between mile markers 1 and 51.

Interstate 93 between mile markers 1 and 19.

Interstate 95 between mile markers 1 and 70, and between mile

markers 77 and 157.

Interstate 95 in New Hampshire between mile markers 0 and 16.

Hampton Beach, York Beach, Ogunquit Beach, Wells Beach, and
