This morning we have some patchy fog with rain evolving into a steadier rain this afternoon. High near 50°F. Winds E at 5 to 10

Everybody likes shrimp, right? Why not this Shrimp meal for dinner tonight?

SHRIMP CASSEROLE

Serves:  8

 

1 cup cut-up shrimp

1 ¼ cup soft bread crumbs

1 tsp. mustard

2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

½ small onion, minced

½ small green pepper, minced

2 tbsp. butter

1 cup milk

2 tbsp. flour

3 tbsp. melted butter

 

  • Sauté ½ minced onion, and ½ minced green pepper in 2 tbsp. butter.
  • Make a cream sauce using 1 cup milk, 2 tbsp. flour, 3 tbsp. melted butter.
  • Combine cream sauce and onion and pepper mixture with 1 cup shrimp, 1 ¼ cups soft bread crumbs, 1 tsp. mustard, and 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce.  Bake slowly at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
