Dangerous wind, horozontal rain and power outages

Good Morning Augusta

We’re still under the flash flood watch and high wind warning, so watch for debris in the raod this morning.

This morning we have low, scutting clouds with high wind and rain turning partly cloudy after this morning’s rain. Our morning high will reach 63 º F with temps falling to near 50. Winds S at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch with wind gusting to 40 mph.

Tonight we’ll have clear skies with a low of 42 ºF. Winds SW at 15 to 25 mph.

The UV rating is 0 out of 16, Sunrise is 7:13 a.m. Sunset is 5:30 P.M. Moon rise is 3:30 p.m., Moon set is 1:40 p.m., and the moon phase is Waxing Gibbous being 74% illuminated.

  We received 1.78  Inches of rain here over the past 24 hours, and it’s still coming down, sideways or even horizontal at times.

AS of the time of this writing well over 225,000 Mainers are out of power with just over 2,900 of them being in the Augusta area. The number of power outages is expected to rise.
