The National Weather Service in Gray Maine has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...

 Kennebec County in south central Maine...

 southern Somerset County in west central Maine...

 southeastern Franklin County in western Maine...

* until 1045 PM EDT

* at 738 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing

 very heavy rain across the warned area. One to two inches of rain

 is falling per hour. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

 Augusta, Waterville, Farmington, Fairfield, Gardiner, Oakland,

Skowhegan, Pittsfield, Madison, Jay, China, Litchfield, Clinton,

Belgrade, Livermore Falls, Farmingdale, Manchester, Hallowell,

Kingfield and Bingham.

This includes the following highways...

 Interstate 295 between mile markers 50 and 51.

Interstate 95 between mile markers 100 and 140.

 

This also includes...

 the bigelows, West Carry Pond, Pleasant Pond Mountain, moxie Bald

Mountain, and Middle Carry Pond.
