Cloudy and warm today

Good morning Augusta

This morning we have considerable clouds with some decrease in clouds later today. High will be 64ºF. Winds will be from the SSE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight we’ll have mostly clear skies with areas of patchy fog developing. Low will be 49ºF. Winds will be light and variable.

The readings from my weather instruments in the North field are:

Humidity is 96%, the dew point is 41ºF, outside it’s 7.1ºC, and 44.8ºF.

The wind direction is South between 1.3 MPH and 8.1 MPH, generating a wind chill of 44.8ºF.

The Barometric pressure is 30.47 / HPA 1030.4 and falling with a weather graphic indicating rain.

The UV rating is 0.0 out of 16, Sunrise is at 6:50 a.m. Sunset is 5:59 P.M. Moon rise is at 4:14 a.m., Moon set is 2:20 p.m. and the moon phase is waxing gibbous.

The RAW METAR reading from the airport in Augusta, Maine where the sun first touches the U.S.A. every morning is: METAR KAUG 121053Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM CLR 06/05 A3037 RMK AO2 SLP288 T00560050

Visibility is 10.0 miles / 16.1 kilometers with a lot of cloud cover up there.

We didn’t receive any rain here over the past 24 hours.

The GOP is reportedly now in a “Civil War,”  Hillary Clinton’s emails have been hacked and anything that could cast her in a bad light is being leaked slowly to the press, and Maine’s governor, our very own quote factory, has publically called for a more authoritarian  “Trump like” president to stop the nation’s decline into anarchy at the hands of President Obama.

This election is a little bit like an approaching hurricane.  “It’s going to get worse before it’s over.”
