Clouds giving way to sun with slightly cooler temps today

This morning we have some clouds that will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High will be 64ºF. Winds will be light and variable.

Tonight we’ll have clear to partly cloudy conditions with a low near 40ºF. Winds will be light and variable.

Okay folks, tonight is the second debate.  This time it will be between the vice presidential candidates.

So far I’ve heard several predictions from the national media that range from “This is going to be a real side-show yawner” to “each VP candidate is expected to defend their respective nominee.”

In other news, up here in Maine Donald Trump has cancelled his rally that was supposed to be held down in Portland.  By an odd coincidence, the rally was cancelled less than 24 hours after some of his tax returns from over 20 years ago were leaked to the press.

That brings up the underlying security issue that has plagued candidates for several hundred years.  Who do you trust more,  the voters, the political party you represent or your supporters?  If someone leaked part of your tax returns, only part, what does the rest of the return show and what else will they leak?

The thing to remember about whistleblowers is that once they make some noise, they enjoy making noise.  What leaks will come out about Hillary?  Stay tuned folks, this “ain’t over ‘til it’s over.”
