Cloudy and cooler today

Good morning Augusta

This morning we have cloudy skies with a slight chance of a rain shower. Our high will be around 60ºF. Winds will be light and variable.

Tonight we’ll have cloudy skies with showers possible after midnight. Low will be 47ºF. Winds will be from the NNE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

Humidity is 88%, the dew point is 47ºF and its 50.8ºF outside.

The wind direction is North Northwest between 4.0 MPH and 5.4 MPH generating a wind chill of 49.5ºF.

The Barometric pressure is 30.43 / HPA 1030.4 and falling with a weather graphic indicating clouds.

The UV rating is 1.0 out of 16, Sunrise is at 6:37 a.m. Sunset is 6:18 P.M. Moon rise is at 7:02 a.m., Moon set is 6:53 p.m. and we have a NEW Moon tonight.

Visibility is 10.0 miles / 16.1 kilometers with overcast to 10,000 ft / 3,048 m.

 We haven’t received any rain here over the past 24 hours.

Tropical Storm Mathew was (48 hours ago) just that, a tropical storm.  Since then he has grown into a category 5 hurricane, then decreased to a category 4 hurricane.

This one is a real fast changer, not to mention a bit more unpredictable in his track than others have been.

My point is this – if you’re south of the Mason-Dixon line he’s dangerous.  Watch him.  If you’re North of the Mason-Dixon line,  you still need to keep a weather eye on him, he just isn’t as dangerous as he is in the warmer, more humid latitudes because we’re in the 40’s and 50’s. Pay attention to Mathew this coming week. 

You can ignore Trump and Clinton for the time being because they  won’t get in his way unless they can get a photo op out of the damage he does after he makes landfall (you know, when it’s safe).
