6 PM EST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Weather

Advisory for snow... sleet... and freezing rain... which is in

effect from 9 PM this evening to 6 PM EST Saturday.

* Hazard types... snow... sleet... and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches... along with

up to one quarter of an inch of ice.

* Timing... precipitation will begin as snow late Friday night and

transition to sleet... then freezing rain by Saturday morning.

Temperatures may rise above freezing Saturday afternoon with

precipitation changing to rain.

* Impacts... freezing rain will cause ice to form on exposed

may lead to scattered power outages.

* Temperatures... in the 20s... rising into the low 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or

freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for

slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

driving.
