Statement as of 2:51 am EST on January 24, 2013
Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until noon EST today.
* locations... central New Hampshire... central Maine... and the
foothills.
* Hazard types... dangerously cold conditions.
* Wind chill readings... as low as 35 below.
* Timing... through this morning.
* Impacts... dangerous cold will make it hazardous to go outside
without proper protection.
* Winds... northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
* Temperatures... 16 below to 2 above zero.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Dangerously cold conditions will result in frost bite or lead to
hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must go outside
dress in layers... and keep all your skin and your head covered.
Protect livestock from the cold and bring your pets inside.
