Strong thunderstorms will impact Belknap County, Strafford County,
Androscoggin County, Kennebec County and Oxford County.
Also Carroll County, York County, Cumberland County and Franklin County
through 2:15 PM EDT.
At 1245 PM EDT National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
thunderstorms centered along a line extending from 9 miles west of
Topsham Maine to 4 miles east of laconianew Hampshire... moving north
at 30 mph. This strong thunderstorm will affect areas in and around
Wentworth State Park... East Alton... West Newfield... Steep
Falls... Bradbury Mountain State Park... Standish... Pownal... North
Yarmouth... North Windham and Newfield through 215 PM EDT.
Heavy rainfall can be expected... with local ponding in streets and
low-lying areas. Wind gusts up to 30 mph are possible.
If you are outdoors and storms approach your location... move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember... lightning can strike more than 5
miles away from the parent thunderstorm.
