Sunny Sunday

Here in beautiful Augusta Maine, it is 27º this morning, and it is bright and sunny.

Today's highs are expected to be in the low 50's and mostly sunny with variable winds. Tonight's lows will be in the 20's.

The readings outside right now are:

a relative humidity of 85% with a Dew Point of 23.2ºF.

The temperature is 27.4ºF, with no wind chill to speak of.

The wind velocity is presently ranging between 2.7 mph and 4.2 mph from the South Southwest.

Our Barometric pressure is 30.32 and rising.

There was no rain, snow or any other form of precipitation yesterday or during the overnight hours.

Visibility is presently 10.0 miles and almost completely cloudless. We have a fantastic ceiling.

Here are a few questions you should have asked the candidates before you cast your vote Tuesday.

  1. How come people who give you millions of dollars for your political campaign won't give that kind of money to balance the budget? If they have that kind of money, why aren't they helping ALL of us out?

2. Why would you give drug tests to welfare recipients  and not to members of the state legislature? After all, we've had quite a few of them do and say things that indicate that they are probably smoking or drinking something odd. (you know, the rep who pulled a gun on the reporter a few months back, the governor's appointee that told people up in the county to "get off the reservation…" not to mention some of the things the governor has said -  and the list goes on)

3. Why hasn't any politician proposed a bill that lets taxpayers pass their tax hikes on to someone else for a change?
